My Treatment Focus

I focus on individualised care to work with clients to optimise their potential and personal goals. I assist clients in a caring, nurturing manner. My practice is located in a quiet, private location where individuals, families and/or couples can confidentially address their concerns and together we can customise a treatment plan to optimise the client’s potential wellbeing.

Depression & Anxiety
A Happier, Healthier You
Depression, stress and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we all experience at some time in our lives. Psychotherapy can assist to normalise or reframe perceptions and evaluations we make in relation to self or others. Kate specialises in identifying an approach that incorporates the cognitive, affective and behavioural approaches to provide an individualised skillset to achieve wellness.

Trauma & PTSD
Reprocessing Trauma
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances, particularly from past experiences. These can impact on day-to-day living whereby triggers can cause an aberrant response we don’t fully understand. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post, traumatic events. With appropriate preparation, Kate will guide you through the process of grief and healing with the use of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing).

Relationships
Understanding and Communication
Relationship counselling can be beneficial to individuals, couples and also in communications within the workplace. Each of these domains have individual requirements through the development of a skillset to achieve success in future negotiations and planning. The need to strengthen emotional connection not only in self but when relating to others is key in all stages of life. Therapy sessions may be held with the couples, individual, or a combination of both across the sessions. Kate’s practice provides a supportive place to discuss issues and find solutions to better strengthen relationships.

Grief and Loss
Grieving and Rebuilding
At various times in our life we are affected by grief and loss. This is a normal part of life but the process involved in this phase may be confusing and affect our mood, our sleep and/or our overall wellbeing. Aspects of our conditioning where patterns emerge can arise where we don’t appear to have the answers. You may feel unmotivated; in pain; or just not able to handle the situation and require a skillset to assist. Having a confidential, private discussion with a professional such as Kate may make all the difference. Why not give her a call and arrange an appointment. She has after-hours appointments if required.
